The current Vale of White Horse Local Plan 2011 allocates the land for B1 and B2 uses (Policy E3 iv): 'Land adjacent to Park Road and the A420 bypass for B1 or B2 employment use to include strategic landscaping as generally shown on the proposals map and developers will be required to show that arrangements are made for its future maintenance.'

An Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) has been undertaken to meet the requirements of the EIA regulations.

In November 2006 a Scoping Opinion provided by the Vale of White Horse District Council endorsed the proposed contents of the EIA.
